I have never studied online before. Studying English with you has brought a new and interesting feeling to me. Hello friends,I am Giang, today I have some things to share with you about my time learning English with Ms. Linh.Before joining the class, I was like a deaf and dumb person as regards my command of English. I would say that English was my worst subject when I was in high school. My listening and speaking skills were very limited as I couldn’t understand what was said and others couldn't understand what I said. As for my reading comprehension, sentences were just words combined together. However, my English has improved since I started learning with Ms. Linh.Talking about Listening, maybe I was the worst student in class and received a lot of attention from Ms. Linh. In the process of teaching, Ms. Linh teaches me to hear each word or each sentence, and she will repeat passages many times until I hear and understand what is being said.I now know that my poor speaking skills are mainly due to being taught incorrect pronunciation during my high school years. Ms. Linh corrects my mistakes and shows me how to pronounce correctly. When I still mispronounce she does not get angry. She, corrects my pronunciation one more time. Currently, most of my words are not misread. All thanks to Ms. Linh.During reading lessons Ms. Linh guides us in how to use keywords to find the answer. In addition, she requests us to read and then speak. This is the way we learn to pronounce words correctly and improve our vocabulary.For Writing, Ms. Linh often builds a topic for us to write and present in front of the class. This increases my vocabulary and confidence in speaking English to people. After each presentation, the listener will ask us some questions and we have to answer them. This also improves our interaction with each other and people can better understand the subject matter. In addition, Ms Linh will often let us translate from Vietnamese into English, short stories, paragraphs or news items. This helps me to practice English more flexibly.I have learnt with Ms. Linh for over a year. She uses many learning techniques. We often play small games such as guessing random words, guessing words by subject. Rewards are sometimes only candies but we are excited. The atmosphere of the games are always fun. My thinking that English is hard and boring to learn has changed and one important thing is that English is not just a subject to be tested in high school. Since starting to learn English with Ms. Linh, my English has much improved. My ability to understand and use English has changed completely. In the classroom, I have learned all four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I think the most important thing in learning English is vocabulary. In order to be good at English, you have to listen to it, read it and write it.
